Monoprice Expands Monolith Range

News from CEDIA has been coming in thick and fast this week, so please bear with us as we try to get the best bits covered here on HTF in the coming days. Known originally for their extensive stocks of good quality home theater and hi-fi cabling, e-tailer Monoprice has broadened its selection of speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers and projection Screens at CEDIA Expo this week in San Diego.

“We consider home theater to be the bread and butter of our business and the origin of our passion for great sounding audio,” said Bernard Luthi, CEO of Monoprice. “CEDIA is a homecoming of sorts for us. It’s when we get to come together with audiophiles, audio enthusiasts, and other like-minded companies to celebrate audio excellence at its best. We’re excited to showcase our newest creations among these audiences and proud to offer them at a great price.”

According to Monoprice and a recent report on the global home theater market by ResearchAndMarket.com, a significant challenge for industry growth and consumer adoption between now and 2022 will be the high cost of home theater products. Monoprice’s Monolith collection is entering its second year and has been offering audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts options that combat ‘the expensive market norm.’ As the line continues to expand parallel to the industry’s growth, Monoprice aims to attract more and more home theater consumers around the world and bolster market growth by showing that high-quality technologies need not cost unrealistic amounts.

This year, CEDIA attendees have got a first-look at the latest items in the Monolith line, which include multichannel amplifiers and THX speakers, as well as 4K projection screens, in-wall speakers, outdoor speakers, and more. All products on the CEDIA show floor will start shipping in the fall. Offerings at the show, as directly reported by Monoprice include:
